To date, we still have yet to find a contender for the Teyes CC3. So far everything else we have come across fall short in many aspects. Most notably the user interface. Yes, its an aesthetic thing, but if you’re going to be staring at this thing on a daily basis, why not something a little prettier right?
On top of that, the stability, sound quality and features that come on the Teyes CC3 just blows everything away. Yes it is not cheap, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
In this video we installed the Teyes CC3 into the 4th Gen Honda CR-V. For this particular car, there were no surprises in terms of fitment nor wiring. The only thing to consider is that the rear camera still uses the factory screen. We would suggest install the Teyes AHD rear camera for better quality image on the big screen. Don’t bother trying to connect the factory camera to the large screen as it will look pretty awful.
So if you’re in the market for an Android head unit, whatever you do, don’t get anything too cheap as you will end up spending twice. Would you expect a great Android phone at a budget? I think not and its no different when it comes to Android head units. Bite the bullet and get a decent unit. If you can, get the Teyes CC3 of course.
