We are happy to bring you our very first Toyota GR86 head unit install. In the past we had done many Toyota GT86’s and also Subaru BRZ’s. So this was a nice welcome for us to see the differences in the install process. Overall the installation is generally the same except for a few more trim pieces that needed to be removed to get to the mounting bolts. Not difficult.
The head unit of choice for this customer is the Teyes CC3 2K model. Definitely still the best in our opinion. We also installed the AHD rear camera which fit just above the rear license plates.
The Android dash kit for this car is very nice. Fits perfectly and looks like it came with the car, definitely very happy about this as it can be hit and miss depending on the car model. The Teyes CC3 sounds amazing with the stock speakers.
