The owner of this Subaru BRZ came to us wanting to replace his JDM head unit with an Android. Naturally our first choice was the Teyes CC3. He opted for the 2K model.

Installation on this Subaru BRZ is relatively easy. Usually the most biggest challenge is removing all the additional accessories that came from Japan. We kid you not, there is a huge amount of wires that were removed.

Do take note, the Android cable supplied for the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GR86 here will usually have 2 missing pins. One for the power antenna and another for the amplifier turn on. For those experienced with adding pins to the socket can add these pins to ensure that power is supplied to the respective devices.

To know if this is done correctly, you can check 2 things. First, see if the radio stations can be tuned in and reception is clear. Secondly, check to see if there is sound coming out the door speakers. If either of this is off, then likely the wiring is incomplete.
