We are very thankful that this regular customer of ours still came back to us at our new location to get his latest car done. We’ve worked on a number of his cars before and I must say, this owner is one chill person. So easy to deal with and he is very clear on what he wants.
For this BMW E39, he was finding the current android unit to be old and lacking in certain aspects. He also felt the rear camera could be better. That is to be expected as the android unit and camera he has in the car seems to have been installed quite awhile back. Technology has come a long way since then.
Our recommendation, as usual, the Teyes CC3 along with the Blaupunkt AHDC TY 1.0 rear camera. Why the Blaupunkt camera? It is because there is a hole made from the previous camera install, so the RC TY is perfect as it will be able to cover the hole. On top of that its an AHD camera, so you will be able to get much higher resolution and clarity with this camera.
We also added some hood insulation as the factory insulation is in bad shape. The owner hopes to find a brand new replacement factory insulation which can still be installed on top of the insulation we added.
