The owner of this car got in touch with us wanting to upgrade his sound system. He is quite experienced with car audio and wanted some assistance on deciding on a simple system for his Perodua Myvi.
For the head unit, since he didn’t want to change the dash kit and his request was basiccally Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, we decided on the Kenwood DMX723WS. For those who don’t know, this is probably the best fitting 200MM head unit for this Myvi in the market at this time.
The owner was open to suggestions on his speakers and active subwoofer. We suggested to him the Blaupunkt GTX 1652 C23 and the GTR 8120 A as we felt it is a good deal for the price. We also have some experience with these units and felt pretty sure it wouldn’t dissapoint. For the tweeters, we also added the tweeter stands as it would give us more flexibility in aiming the tweeters plus raising
Fortunately the customer was willing to give it a try. Upon completion, thankfully the customer was satisfied with the overall result after testing out the system. We too feel quite confident recommending this setup to other Myvi owners.
